This tumblr is about Islamic Concepts, I do not claim to be a scholar of any sorts and merely I am a student of Islam like the rest of you. I see a lot of posts regarding the hijab and also various graphics which have been created which show what is hijab and what is not. This is just a friendly reminder to everyone.

We are all versed on what the Qur’an says regarding the hijab, yes it is something that women and men alike should follow in their own way, however only when it is a choice you make for the sole purpose of pleasing Allah swt. I say men as well, as it is men who should be modest and protect their religion as well, not only women.

I see a lot of posts regarding the rights and wrongs of women and the hijab, yes it does say to cover your head, however, you must also cover your aura, your essence, your modesty, your haya your adda everything you do should involve being hijab this does not just fall into one category. I am not disputing the scripted word however, I think a lot of ourselves fall into the trap of judging our bothers and sisters, we must not do this. We must remember to respect, love and protect each one of our Ummah.

We should not be pointing the finger at anyone, if a sister is making an effort lets aid her in it, lets praise her for it, for how do you what kind of battle she is fighting from within. And sisters/brothers to those who are not wearing the hijab solely on their heads then let us not judge, for they could be more practicing than you. The point is that it is not up to us to go around and point the finger, we are nothing, only Allah swt can judge us.

If we preach about being so tolerant, why don’t we begin with ourselves first, when we see another sister outside do we begin to criticise her and destroy her efforts to become closer to her deen or do we say Asalamolikium?

Just remember, that everyone is fighting their own battle to become closer to God, Inshallah Allah swt grant us the strength to win this battle and let us not become the obstacles for our own bothers and sisters who are trying to win this, let us become allies for on another. Let us become the reason we better ourselves for the sake of Allah swt.
